Ellucian Gives Power to The Knowledge Hub Universities in Egypt

When investors from El Sewedy Education approached Ellucian, they were looking for a solution that would improve, The Knowledge Hub Universities’ performance, accountability, productivity and growth.
Based in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, The Knowledge Hub Universities bridge the gap between theory and practice, and provide a learning environment for a diverse range of students and faculties from all over the world.
The campus spans across 50 feddans and aims to be the leading provider of high-quality, sustainable and fit for purpose education. Partnering with Coventry University, there are plans for The Knowledge Hub Universities to accommodate seven more academic partners from all over the world, which will participate in programmes that complement their areas of strength. Phase one of The Knowledge Hub Universities’ extensive campus was launched in September 2019 and features a 2,100 square-metre, five-floor building with a total built-up area of 13,700 square metres and a multi-sports field of 2,100 square metres.
The Knowledge Hub Universities needed a solution that would align with the new Egyptian International Branch Campus Law 162/2018, as this is the model by which The Knowledge Hub Universities operate. This law ensures that students will be awarded an internationally accredited degree with the same quality and standing as those offered at the partner university.
After exploring a range of vendors and student information systems (SIS), The Knowledge Hub Universities chose Ellucian’s PowerCampus, though Ellucian’s partner, ITB (an ITG company) that offers comprehensive solutions tailored for colleges and universities with a proven track record in the supply and deployment of software solutions for vertical markets.
PowerCampus will enhance self-service functionality and provide communication and collaboration tools for faculty, staff, students and alumni. This, in turn, will improve service whilst freeing up staff resources. PowerCampus will give The Knowledge Hub Universities the ability to attract, engage, and manage international students, whilst streamlining admin and monitoring the lifecycle. PowerCampus will also adapt as the institution scales, whilst meeting their growing demands.
