- Ellucian Live is a global event
- Inspiring speakers take the stage during the event
Ellucian Live 2017 is right around the corner. Soon, more than 8,000 customers, partners, and colleagues will come together in Orlando for the most dynamic gathering of higher education professionals in the world.
Every year, we take this opportunity to collaborate and share the exciting ideas that will drive student success to new heights. This year, there are more than 700 breakout sessions and 65 exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall. With more than 30 countries represented, it’s going to be a truly global event.
And let’s not forget the engaging slate of speakers we’ve lined up for the Main Stage. On Monday, legendary actor, author, and activist John Cleese will discuss the impact that higher education had on his life—and how it helped him develop creative thinking and problem solving techniques he still employs today.
On Tuesday, I’ll be interviewing Teresa Carlson, vice president of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Public Sector. We’re going to delve into the future of cloud technology and how AWS infrastructure is tailor made for higher education.
On Wednesday, renowned author and psychologist Angela Duckworth takes the stage to discuss the power of “grit” and share insights into human character and behavior that are highly prized by organizations around the world.
And later on Wednesday, we will hear from Dr. Gillian Paul, president of the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT). Dr. Paul has a fascinating take on technology’s role in higher education and how’s it’s helped build COSTAATT into a truly remarkable institution.
Throughout the week, some of Ellucian’s own will also be taking to the Main Stage. Toby Williams, chief product and strategy officer, and John Kopcke, chief technology officer, will review the new solutions we rolled out in 2016—the most productive year in Ellucian’s history. Kari Branjord, senior vice president of Product Management, and Jay Harrison, senior vice president of Global Services, will lead a customer panel discussion on ERP transformation. And I will get us started on Monday with a look at how the technology industry has yet to solve the problem of silos—and what we’re doing about that with the Ellucian Ethos Platform.
Great things happen when you gather the best and brightest minds in technology and higher education—so I can’t wait to see everyone in Florida.
Ellucian is built for tomorrow and ready today. So let’s get started.
