Ellucian Names 25-Year Technology Veteran Chris Collins Chief Customer Officer

RESTON, VA — Ellucian, the leading provider of software and services built to power higher education, today announced the appointment of Chris Collins to the new role of chief customer officer (CCO). Drawing on his more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry, Collins will now focus on accelerating world-class customer success for institutions across Ellucian’s global portfolio.

Most recently Collins served as senior vice president of global services, education and partner management at Medallia, Inc., a customer experience management platform provider. In this role, he led field professional services, education, insights, and partner management teams; and was a trusted executive at a late-stage SaaS company who contributed greatly to its vision and growth strategies.

Prior to Medallia, Collins served as general manager and senior vice president for professional services and education at CA Technologies where he established global programs to serve customers in an evolving, high-volume product business, and worked to optimize and accelerate the sales and delivery process. Collins’ experience also includes leadership roles with Mercury Interactive, Gemstar-TV Guide, and Allibra Incorporated.
