The American University of Technology (AUT), a private university established in Lebanon, has selected Ellucian PowerCampus as its new student information system (SIS). The move to PowerCampus aligns with AUT’s institutional priorities and will support the university as it prepares for future innovation.
Founded in 1998 and continually expanded, AUT’s mission is to provide an innovative, technology-rich, entrepreneurial, experiential university research and learning environment that produces civically active and market-ready graduates. The university maintains multiple campuses throughout the country giving students greater accessibility.
Looking to further build operational processes and procedures based on industry best practices, while also providing an application that is flexible and scalable, AUT turned to its long-time partner Ellucian for a more modern technology solution. With PowerCampus, AUT acquired a new state of the art, fully integrated, flexible and user-friendly SIS.
“We needed a comprehensive and robust system that could meet our unique and multi-faceted needs,” said AUT President Ghada Honein. “We did a thorough assessments of the solutions on the market today and ultimately decided to continue our more than 10-year partnership with Ellucian, given the high level of trust we have in the company and its expertise in higher education.”
Designed to help institutions meet increasing demands and improve productivity and performance, PowerCampus will enable AUT to automate all their most critical, student-related tasks, particularly with regard to admissions, billing and cash receipts, financial aid, and academic records. Additionally, it will allow the infrastructure to grow as the university continues to grow into the next decade.
“It’s always fantastic to see and help our partners continue their journey with Ellucian,” said Ellucian Senior Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA and APAC Darren Hunt. “Our long-term, trusted relationship with AUT allowed us introduce new solutions that will not just automate the operations and overall student experience, but also further strengthen and enable the institution’s mission.”
