In response to immense student need in the wake of COVID-19, Ellucian and its partners have created PATH, a global awareness campaign and scholarship fund.

Ellucian awards 25 community colleges $500,000 for COVID-19 student relief

In 2020, Ellucian launched the PATH scholarship and global awareness campaign to provide financial assistance to students experiencing economic hardship, ensuring the continuation of their education.

Independent judges selected 25 institutions out of more than 160 applicants. Each of the selected community colleges was awarded $20,000 for distribution to students impacted by the pandemic.

Addressing disruption in higher education

PATH Scholarship

Even before COVID-19 disrupted the world, millions of students around the globe were at risk of dropping out of school. And the pandemic has only made things worse.

Countless students are barely sustaining themselves as they become increasingly concerned about the affordability of higher education. Those most at risk are primarily from underserved communities, including many with parents who have lost their jobs or seen significant reduction in their income.

The PATH scholarship has supported the educational goals of these at-risk students so they can continue their studies. Ellucian and its executives are proud to have pledged $1 million to kick off PATH and we invite other to join us in this cause. We are thankful for the support of The Business-Higher Education Forum as our first partner in PATH.
