There is a lot of uncertainty among higher education institutions about security, performance, customization, flexibility, and budget for a cloud infrastructure when compared to current on-premises solutions. The move to the cloud is transforming the role of the Enterprise Systems team at Lehigh University from primarily maintaining the Banner environment to proactively collaborating with other departments, evaluating their needs, and developing a strategy to help them become more efficient and successful.
This session will discuss the decision-making process involved with moving to the Ellucian private cloud, the challenges that are inherent to migration, and the overall benefits of moving to the cloud for Lehigh University.
