Dr. Al Awar is the founder of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, the first eUniversity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He is also the Chairman of the Governing Board of UNESCO’s Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) and a board member of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Co-ordination Council in the UAE.
