RESTON, VA — Ellucian, the leading higher education technology solutions provider, today announced that it was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the "Most Innovative Technology Company of the Year" category in the 22nd Annual International Business Awards®.

Ellucian was recognized for innovations including Ellucian Journey, an AI-powered solution linking curricula to workforce skills, and Ellucian Apply, a modern admissions platform. More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide, who participated in the judging process in May – July 2025.

"The 2025 International Business Awards have set a new benchmark for excellence," said Stevie Awards President Maggie Miller. "Our winners have demonstrated remarkable ambition and achievement in reaching their goals. We congratulate them on their well-earned recognition and look forward to honoring them on stage in Lisbon on 10 October."

Dr. Melva Wallace, President and CEO of HTU, emphasized the importance of HBCUs having an essential role in creating and directing the narrative and impact the AI has in the lives of their students: "This partnership ensures that HBCUs are not just adapting and using AI, but are also helping to shape its future – how it will be used, why it will be used, and who it will serve.
