Mathew Chase

Mat works for Ellucian as the head of the Enterprise Applications and Services team for its corporate information technology group. He is based out of the Reston, Virginia office in support of his global team. He joined Ellucian in October 2018 and he brings a wealth of experience from a wide variety of industries: newspaper, new media, leisure, government, consulting, health care, and now higher education. His primary focus is moving the business forward using technologies that provide value and empowering workers to achieve their objectives. Mathew believes that technology must be nimble and constantly adapted to business strategy. He has invested significant time in understanding and implementing commercial cloud solutions to help reduce total cost, increase security, and enable technology workers to focus on business needs—rather than blinking lights.

He enjoys cooking and spending time with his two boys, ages 9 and 13, and his wife of 15 years. While his primary cooking passion is bread baking, he recently turned his attention to Indian cuisine and the culinary style of Southern India following his trips to Ellucian’s Bangalore office.
